This may be a dramatic way to start the post, but I just have to say that I love life sometimes. This wedding was so wonderful in so many ways. One of my very best friends when I was growing up in Hingham belonged to a large and loving extended family that was made up with lots of cousins that were all around our age. I spent many hours with this wonderful family and they always extended their homes and love to me. As it often happens, through the years we all fell a bit out of touch. Through the wonders of facebook I reconnected with one of the aformentioned cousins and they asked if I could shoot the upcoming wedding of one of the girls in the family that I grew up with. It was fairly last-minute and meant I would be shooting while 9 months pregnant – but I couldn’t say no to seeing my favorite family again.

Jennifer and Jeremiah have been together for 8 (or is it 9?) years and their deep comfort and connection is clearly visible to all. The wedding morning was filled with torrential thunderstorms, but by afternoon the sun was shining brightly. It meant so much to me be able to return to my home town and spend the day with a wonderful group of people on such a special day. Days like this absolutely reaffirm my commitment to my photography – there is nothing I’d rather do then attempt to capture all the beauty and special moments in our  world.

Having a gorgeous house to work in certainly didn’t hurt the photos. The proud parents of the bride before heading off to the church

The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Church in Hingham Square.  St. Paul’s holds special meaning for the family as Jennifer’s uncle sadly passed away in a sailing accident many years ago and the font in the Church is dedicated to his memory.

Special thanks are due to my second shooter for the day, Chris of Little Monkeys Photo in Salem.  Chris got tons of good shots, but this panorama of the Church came out killer.  Thanks again Chris for braving the heat with me!

Jeremiah’s first look at his Bride…

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan – yay!

There was just too much awesomeness from this wedding to fit into one post.  Stay tuned for part II coming soon!!

Great photos. So many great photos. Did you take formal training on photography? If so where?

So I pretty much cried when reading your “dramatic” intro to your post and then the tears came when I saw that pic of jens wedding dress above the stairs. So beautiful. You are amazing!
